25th Central Avenue Jazz Festival - Join us in Los Angeles in 2020!
Time & Location
About the Event
Join us in Los Angeles along Central Avenue in 2020!
The 25th Annual Central Avenue Jazz Festival celebrates the legacy of the Historic Central Avenue and is one of the last few genuine jazz celebrations left in the Southern California region. The Central Avenue Jazz Festival is a family-friendly free music, arts and cultural festival for the entire Los Angeles community and hosted by Councilman Curren Price Jr.
This historic jazz festival allows the entire Los Angeles community to honor the history of Central Avenue by paying tribute to jazz greats such as Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Charles Mingus and Dexter Gordon, while putting a spotlight on the younger emerging artists that are continuing this rich art form.
This year’s festivities will take place along Central Avenue, between Vernon Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard from 11am to 7pm, July 25th & 26th. Festival parking extremely limited and we recommend using Metro, Uber or Lyft to travel to the festival. Certain activities and tents may have different hours of operation, and set times are subject to change.
We will feature live jazz performances on 3 stages, in addition to the historical Dunbar Hotel, a diverse selection of culinary experiences, as well as, Pavilions for Art, Business & Employment Resources, Health & Wellness and Youth.
